Queens Community House Program Aide in Queens, New York

Position: Program Aide (Part-Time)
Queens Community House, in collaboration with the Department of Education and 21st Century Grants, is providing School Day and After School services at International High School for Health Sciences. We are looking for a dedicated Program Aide to support the Community School Director in all aspects of school community outreach, attendance management, and event planning.
Responsibilities:
Assist with school attendance outreach efforts to ensure student participation.
Manage and maintain program data using EZReports.
Track and report on attendance efforts and provide updates at relevant meetings.
Communicate upcoming events and important information to parents and guardians.
Maintain regular communication with the Community School Director to coordinate program activities and address any issues.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma required.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a team setting.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Bilingual in Spanish preferred.
Contingent upon obtaining DOE PETS clearance.
Additional Details:
Start Date: Immediate
Duration: Part-time, temporary position from September 2024 to June 2025 (5 hours per week). Note that the program will not operate during school closures (Winter Break, Spring Break, etc.), and staff are not expected to work during these breaks.
