Joint Council For Economic Opportunity CACFP (Child-Adult Care Food Program) Home Inspector/Clerical Aide in Plattsburgh, New York

The CACFP Home Inspector/Clerical Aide is responsible for recruiting and enrolling registered day care providers into the Child-Adult Care Food Program.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Develops recruitment plans to inform Day Care Providers of the CACFP. Creates and distributes materials describing the program. Assists day care providers in completing CACFP applications. Performs home inspections as required by federal and state regulations. Travel required within service areas. Compiles information and prepares reports, business correspondence, application forms and other materials. Posts information to records. Answers questions concerning the program or refers persons to other sources of information. Follows all health and safety regulations. Reviews and maintains filing system, makes copies, and collates materials as directed. Answers phones and records messages on an as needed basis. Provides coverage for receptionists desk. Organizes and/or conducts training for day care providers enrolled in CACFP. Attends all required Agency training, CACFP and day care training/meetings. Performs all duties in a manner consistent with the mission and goals of the Joint Council for Economic Opportunity, Inc.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and, six months of related experience and/or training; or, an equivalent combination of education and experience
