Join our team as a Daycare Teacher , where you’ll collaborate with a dynamic Early Childhood Special Educati on team to design and implement play-based instruction for children, fostering growth, learning, and positive self-esteem. This opportunity is within a n inclusive special education classroom , ensuring each child gets the attention they deserve.
Position Details:
Full-time:40 hours per week, Monday–Friday, following our daycare calendar.
Competitive rate of pay:$17.50 per hour.

Responsibilities
Co-teach and co-plan under the lead of the Special Education Teacher and in collaboration with other Daycare Teachers using assigned curriculum .
Provide high quality care and instruction to all students through fun age and developmentally appropriate activities.
Create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment.
Actively participate in team meetings, sharing educational insights and problem-solving collaboratively.
Maintain open communication with families, keeping them informed and supported.
Collaborate with the team to utilize diverse techniques and perspectives in program design.
Keep accurate records of children’s progress and attendance, and prepare reports for parent conferences.
Attend required training sessions, ensuring compliance with OCFS regulations and program requirements.
And other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Education (one of the following):
Associate degree in Early Childhood Education, Childhood Development, or related field OR
Child Development Associate Credential (CDA) and 1 year related experience,OR
9 College credits in Early Childhood, Child Development or related field with a plan of study to get to CDA or Associate Degree and 2 years of experience related to caring for children.
Physical Capability
Ability to physically assist children to participate in the program; ability to lift up to forty (40) pounds; ability to engage in repetitive movements such as sitting/kneeling on floor, bending and stooping; ability to move quickly to attend to a running child.
