We are currently looking for an Associate Executive Director for our 8 Early Learning Centers with 1-4 classrooms each in the Hudson Valley and Capital Regions of New York. This position is based out of our corporate office located at 2 Summit Court, Fishkill, NY 12524.
PAY RATE:$60,000 - $65,000 per year
STATUS:Full-time, Exempt
HOURS:Monday - Friday with varying hours
Under the supervision of the CEO, the Associate Executive Director for the Early Learning Programs will streamline the daily operations to ensure efficiency across all our Early Learning Centers. This position requires someone who is comfortable communicating with people throughout our organization and able to solve problems and improvise as needed. The ideal candidate is a natural coordinator who has a strong sense of big-picture objectives and a sharp eye for detail.
In this role you will work directly with the CEO to:
Develop, adapt and implement an early learning curriculum for Toddler and Preschool programs across the organization
Lead trainings and ongoing workshops on curriculum development and instructional practice
Conduct quarterly observations to be sure the program staff adhere to the daily schedule and are following the curriculum
Develop, adapt, train and observe program staff on caregiver– child interactions
Track and report on operational performance
Conduct monthly staff meetings to disseminate information and program updates
Manage day-to-day operations
Oversee the Early Learning Centers team and assign tasks
Interact with staff and families, answering questions, and resolving issues
Onboard and train new employees to ensure that they adhere to standard operating procedures
Implement orientation procedures, staff development, ongoing technical assistance, and training
Be responsible for utilizing the internal payroll system (Paylocity) to monitor and approve time and attendance for all assigned employees for bi-weekly payroll
Be responsible for the continuous monitoring and implementation of staff schedules based on the current needs of the program and implementing changes to operate in a fiscally responsible manner
Ensure that all operations are in compliance with the Office of Children and Family Services regulations
Review current handbooks and recommend new procedures for increasing the efficiency of day-to-day operations
Assist with the implementation of new processes and procedures
Identify ways to improve children and families’ experiences
Manage program inquires and facility tours to increase enrollment
Work with the Marketing team to develop grassroot marketing strategies
Order supplies and manage inventory, coordinating with purchasing and finance departments to adhere to budget
Coordinate with different departments to achieve optimal work production across the board (Registration, Marketing, Recruiting, Buildings and Grounds, Finance and Human Resources)
Monitor expenses and budget in line with the finance department
Implement family engagement opportunities
Promote positive morale, facilitate continuous learning, promote staff retention, and reinforce positive partnerships

Requirements
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Associate degree in Early Childhood Education or equivalent preferred
Experience with Curriculum development and creating lesson plans
2 years’ experience working with children under the age of 5 (in a licensed childcare facility preferred)
3-5 years of supervisory experience
1 year managing staff in a childcare setting with Business Management experience
Familiarity with OCFS regulations preferred, but not required
Superior administrative and supervisory skills with experience preferably in a consumer-driven environment
Excellent customer service and parent communication skills
Track record of working as a team and helping to create a team-oriented work environment
Commitment to delivering excellent programs and managing personnel expenses
Must pass full background check including fingerprinting and reference check
Must be medically fit to perform job duties
Professional, reliable, prompt, warm, friendly, caring, and upbeat personality
Excellent time management skills
