Occasional travel to other geographic areas based on patient need, may be required DEPARTMENT: Home CareSCHEDULE: Monday - Friday 830am to 5pmATTRIBUTESMasters degree in Speech/Language Pathology (may be MA, MS, Med)1 year experience in medical setting preferred. Prior Speech-Language Pathology experience is preferredExcellent interpersonal and communications skillsKind and patient-focused RESPONSIBILITIES Patient Evaluation & Development. Meet the patient's goals and needs by providing quality, evidence based care; assess, develop and implement an individualized treatment planPatient Care. Help patient accomplish treatment plan and accept therapeutic devices/recommendations; instruct, encourage and assist patients in performing daily-living activities and in using assistive and supportive devices Leadership. Develop the speech-language therapy staff; provide information, develop and conduct in-service training programsEDUCATION: MS: Speech Pathology (Required)PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: M - Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; Requires frequent walking, standing or squatting.LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS: SLP - Speech-Language Pathologist - New York State Education Department (NYSED)CCC-SLP - Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology - American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASLHA)PAY RANGE: $32.00 - $50.48 The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for successful applicants. It may be modified in the future. Pay is determined by factors including experience, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.
