Unity House Universal PreK in Albany, New York

$2,500 SIGN-ON BONUS

We are looking for committed early childhood professionals to lead our integrated UPK or UPK only classrooms at our location in downtown Albany.

Responsibilities:

Plan and implement engaging lesson plans that incorporate all developmental areas

Work collaboratively with your team to promote an environment of diversity, inclusion and mutual respect

Actively engage students in conversation to foster language development and social skills

Develop positive relationships with families as partners in their child’s development

Collaborate with the Albany City School District to implement curriculum aligned with NYS Learning Standards

Conduct ongoing assessments of students’ progress using a variety of methods

Complete required progress reports, assessments and lesson plans in a timely manner

Must have reliable transportation and consistent and punctual attendance

Adhere to all OCFS licensing regulations

Requirements:

Minimum of 9 college credits in a related field with a written plan for certification considered.

Preferred - NYS Certified in Early Childhood Education (birth --Grade 2)

Child Development Associate with plan for further education

Previous classroom management required
